Pricing Questions, Answered
- How is the minimum fee calculated?
Below the threshold shown on each rate ($3,500 for Factory Direct Purchasing, $1,250 for China Sourcing Service), we charge a flat $100 rather than the percentage — small orders still need the same sampling, payment and inspection work as large ones.
- What counts as “order value”?
The value of the goods on the factory invoice, before freight, duties and our fee. Tooling and moulds are quoted separately and do not inflate the percentage.
- Do you ever mark up the goods or freight?
No. Factory prices pass through at cost with the original invoice, and freight and duties are billed at the carrier’s and customs’ actual rates. Our service fee is the only line we earn.
- Which currency do you invoice in?
We invoice you in USD and settle with the factory in RMB. The exchange rate used on each payment is shown on the statement that comes with your invoice.
- Can I switch from Supplier Search to a full sourcing order?
Yes. The one-off search fee is credited back against your service fee if you place the order through us within three months.
- Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
Only for the China Buying Office retainer, which runs month to month. Everything else is booked order by order, with no minimum volume.
