No Dye-Lot Surprises
The brand had been let down by colour drift between dye lots. We re-tendered the run with eleven knitters, approved fabric and trims in our office before cutting, and held the whole order on our shelves until the Rotterdam booking was confirmed.

The Brief
A European swimwear label needed a first production run — six styles, 2,400 pieces total — from a factory that could hold colour consistency across a ribbed knit fabric. Their existing supplier had struggled with dye-lot variation on the previous run.

Supplier Selection
Eleven knitters were screened on capacity, export history and dye-house control. Three were visited in person before the shortlist went back to the brand.
- 03
Sampling & Approval
Fabric, trims and a full size set were sampled, photographed in our office and signed off by the brand before any cutting started.
- 04
Cost & Negotiation
The same specification was quoted line by line. The final unit cost came in 18% below the brand’s previous factory, with tooling and trims itemised.
- 05
QC & Inspection
Goods were counted, measured and checked against the approved size set in our own space. Faulty units went back to the line before packing.
- 06
Logistics & Delivery
Cartons were consolidated in Dalian and released on the booking that landed in Rotterdam 34 days after sample approval.
